Hanging out with the kids.....

We had Marissa over one afternoon and we decided to take a walk to the park. Here are some pictures of the kids being themselves (including Aaron).

My Little Helper......

This particular day I was not having any luck feeding Jake. He wouldn't cooperate with me. I was trying to feed him pasta with a spoon because I didn't want him getting the sauce all over the place. But Jake did NOT want to eat with the spoon. I got a little frustrated so I got up and started washing dishes.

Garrett saw the bowl of pasta with the spoon and started feeding Jake. Of course Jake let Garrett feed him. No problem at all! I couldn't believe it. Garrett is the best little helper.

Four Wheeling part 2......

Here are more pics of the kids on their 4 wheelers. I guess the kids weren't in the mood to smile that day. Or maybe they were just sick of taking "posed" pictures. They were all smiles when the 4 wheelers were moving. Even Jake like riding in the passenger seat. Oh, and before I forget, we DO make the kids were bike helmets. As I mentioned earlier, these bad boys go pretty fast!

Four Wheeling......

The kids got these toys for Christmas from Lita & Lito. They were hand me downs from their neighbor. The kids don't look very happy in these pics but they absolutely LOVE riding these things. They had to get used to them because they go pretty fast. They were a little intimidated at first because of the size (they were used to the smaller one that Jake is riding). They quickly got over their fears and now they ride them with no fear.

Cleaning House.....

These pictures were taken in January. We had one warm day in the midst of our freeze and I happened to be home with the kids. We all had "cabin fever" and were driving each other "crazy". I looked outside and saw the sun and said, "Let's go outside!" Of course the kids were excited.

It had been a while since we played in our back yard. I don't think Jake had been in the back yard since he started walking so he never had a chance to play in the playhouse until then. He loves the playhouse as much as Garrett does. Garrett took it upon himself to do a little pre-spring cleaning in his playhouse. He used his kid sized broom to "dust" his playhouse. Jake was keeping himself busy by opening and closing the windows and door. I'm sure we will have a lot more fun times in the backyard.

School Desk.....

Here are some pics of the boys goofing around one evening on Garrett's School Desk. We got this desk from a neighbor of my parents. Their son had outgrown it so they gave it to my parents to give to Garrett. He loves playing on it.

Notice all the stickers on the top of it? Garrett took great care in placing each and every one. At first I hesitated in allowing him to put stickers on it but then I thought, "what the heck". It will be his piece of artwork. I'm surprised he hasn't put stickers around the rest of the desk. He seems content with just the top decorated. The only problem with all the stickers on the desk is that Jake likes to try to peel them off. Sometimes I'll find stickers on the floor around the house.

The other potential problem with all of the stickers on the desk is that they might interfere with homework in the future. He has a lot of puffy stickers on the desk so I imagine it will be hard to do homework on the desk. Only time will tell.
