The Art of Potty Training....

These pictures will definitely be great blackmail material for when Jake is older. These were taken when Jake was 19 months old. He is now 22 months old. My sitter started sitting him on the toilet when he was about 15 months old. He's not completely potty trained but he's darn near close.

I'm actually not ready for him to be out of diapers yet. Mainly because he's my baby and when he's out of diapers, that's all for me. Secondly, it's tough taking them to public restrooms when they are completely potty trained. I would almost rather him go in his diaper than take him to a public restroom.

The park in April....

Here are some pics of one of our favorite parks. These were taken in April. Notice the playground bark on the ground? It's not your old fashioned wood chips. This stuff is made of recycled tires and is the newest trend in playgrounds. It's nice and bouncy and safe for the kids if they fall off the swing. It's so much better than sand or wood chips. That doesn't mean that the kids don't like throwing it. Jake always picks up a handful and throws it on the slide.

Easter 2007 (part 3).....

The last of the Easter 2007 pics shows the kids having fun. They especially liked the confetti eggs which were gone in about 20 minutes. They got a kick out of crushing the eggs on everyone's head even though we all knew it was coming. They also loved it when we crushed the confetti eggs on their heads.

Here are some more pics of Easter 2007. We spent the day with family. We visited great grandma and grandma and then we went to my mom and dad's house. Grandpa Brent and Grandma Laurie came over too. Everyone had lots of fun eating, hunting for eggs, and playing.

Easter 2007....

It will take me a few postings to show all the pictures from Easter this year. We took a lot of pictures. The kids woke up and found their baskets in the living room. They also found the carrots that they left for the Easter bunny half gone. Garrett was quick to notice that the Easter Bunny had left eggs in our backyard. Once we got the kids dressed, we headed outside to find the eggs. Here is Jake finding the eggs. He knew exactly what to do and he wasn't shy about looking inside each egg as he found one.

Easter at Preschool.....

Here are some pics of Garrett's goodies he got at preschool the week before Easter. Each kid had to take a milk carton to school to make their Easter basket. They had an egg hunt and ate lots of sweets. Garrett loved opening each egg to discover more goodies in each one.

Daddy's Birthday.....

Aaron turned 33 on April 2nd. It was a Monday, so we decided to have a quiet celebration with just the 4 of us. We went to dinner and then picked up an ice cream pie at Baskin Robbins. We got him an Ipod, which is really neat. Here are some pics of us eating birthday pie. Garrett tried his hand at photography. Can you guess which pics he took? They're a little blurry because of his sticky little fingers.
