Cotton Candy Ice Cream.....

Here are some more pics from Garrett's 4th Birthday. Since it was on a Wednesday, I was off of work and I was able to spend the day with my little boy.

We had lunch at McDonald's with Lita and picked out some new library books and then we got an ice cream for dessert from Rite Aid. Rite Aid sells the best ice cream ("Thrifty" brand). Garrett picked out "Cotton Candy" ice cream. As you can see, it is bright pink and blue ice cream. I wasn't too thrilled that he picked this flavor but it was his birthday so I caved in. He was so excited to taste it. We sat down outside the Rite Aid and he enjoyed every messy bite of his ice cream.

I have to admit, it was pretty tasty, a little on the sweet side. It was also pretty messy. I thought he might finish without getting any on his clothes but of course, I was wrong. Not only did he get some on his green polo shirt, but his lips and tongue were bright pink. But he thought that was pretty cool.

Garrett's 4th Birthday....

Garrett turned 4 on February 21st. Where has the time gone? I just cannot believe that we have a 4 year old. I always make him do a home "photo shoot" on his birthday. Usually Aaron and I pose with him but because his birthday was on a Wednesday, Aaron was at work so we didn't do the mom, dad, & Garrett shots. Here are a couple of shots I got of just Garrett. I know it sounds silly, but he looks like a little boy! ( I know he IS a little boy but he was my premie baby just 4 years ago. )

Sprinkler Fun In February.....

Here is Jake playing in the sprinklers in February. We had just taken a walk and when we got home our sprinklers turned on. Jake did not think twice about jumping in and getting wet. We freaked out at first because it was February, not the normal time to be running through the sprinklers. But we calmed down when we realized he was already wet and having a great time.

Peek a Boo....

One of Garrett's favorite pastimes is playing hide & seek. He usually likes to be the seeker but I snapped a picture of him trying to hide from me. His laughter usually gives away his hiding places.

Valentine's Day Photo Shoot....

Can you tell which child was not very cooperative for the Valentine's day photo shoot?

Jake is at the stage where he will NOT sit still for a snapshot. I remember this stage from when Garrett was Jake's age. It was frustrating for me then (because I didn't understand babies) but now it just makes me laugh. At least I have one child who smiles on cue!
