Home Made Tortillas....

If you don't already know, my mom makes homemade tortillas and they are yummy. Once the kids were old enough to join her in the process, she bought them their own mini rolling pins. Now when mom makes tortillas, Garrett and Marissa grab their step stools and rolling pins and help Lita make tortillas.

Marissa enjoys it a little more than Garrett does. Garrett will only join them for a few minutes before his attention span gets pulled to something a bit more exciting. Jake isn't quite old enough to join in the fun.

The end of the day.....

I took this pic at the end of Memorial day. The kids were tired from the excitement of the Holiday, playing with eachother and being around family. They weren't quite ready to go to bed but they were willing to get into bed to watch a movie. They faded shortly after that.

I'm still posting pictures from the summer time. I'll try to be better at blogging. I've got lots of pictures to share with you.

Guitar Hero Dorks....

If you haven't heard of the video game "Guitar Hero", you are missing out. This is one of the hottest games out there and of course my brother bought it. Here are the boys taking their turn at it and concentrating very hard. I think it's more fun to watch people try to play than it is to actually play.

Memorial Day Weekend 2007....

Here are the kids enjoying some good food and sweet treats on a pleasant Memorial Day. The weather was perfect so we ate outside and enjoyed each other's company.

Finally Engaged.....

It's about time....need I say more? Sorry guys, I couldn't resist. Here's the happy couple toasting to their engagement on Memorial Day Weekend. We are very happy and excited for them.

Shaver Lake (part 2)....

After we took a walk through the woods, we took the kids to the Lake to play for a while. The water was a little chilly but the kids didn't care. They got right in and collected more rocks and played in the sand. It wasn't crowded and there weren't many boats on the water. After we played for a while, we headed back to the cabin for a barbecue lunch. We had hamburgers, chips, and fruit. We definitely want to go back and spend more time playing near the Lake.

Shaver Lake.....

These pics are from our trip to Shaver Lake at the end of May. Our friends have a cabin up there and they invited us to hang out with them over the weekend. We decided to make a day trip out of it because we didn't think Jake would do very well staying overnight. Maybe next year we will stay overnight. Anyway, the kids had so much fun. We took a walk around through the woods and visited a playground nearby. It was about 70 degrees there, perfect sunny weather. Jake and Garrett had fun picking up rocks and sticks and then throwing them into the creek.
