Fun At The Fair....

Here are a few pics from our visit to the fair. Last year the kids were too short to ride the kiddie rides. But this year they had a great time. The picture of Marissa crying and Garrett looking "unsure" was of the very first ride they got on. They weren't too sure about riding this roller coaster. Marissa was upset until the ride started and then she started smiling and laughing. The reason Garrett has 2 different shirts on in 2 different pictures is because of our fall heat again. I dressed the boys in their matching Halloween shirts but it was just too hot, so we changed them into short sleeves. The kids loved the fair, especially the food. I'll share more pics soon!

Rollerskating For The First Time.....

Garrett has had this set of Rollerskates since last Christmas (unopened). They were a gift from Tia. We put them in his closet and kinda forgot about them (sorry Gina). He saw a kid on TV rollerskating and he said he needed some of "those". I told him that he had some so we got them out of his closet and opened them for the first time. He LOVED them. I didn't think he would do very well on them but he did awesome. I had to hold his hands, of course but his balance was pretty good. Afterwards, we went inside to have a lunch on his Halloween dinnerware, courtesy of Grandma.

Pumpkin Patch....

Here are a few pics from our visit to the pumpkin patch. We did this about 2 weekends before Halloween. The pumpkin patch had a cornmaze, a bounce house, train rides, a petting zoo and a playground. The kids had a good time, except this was the start of them getting sick. We've all been sick for a few weeks now. We are just now getting over it. Not fun at all.

Anyway, this particular weekend was still pretty hot, high 70s low 80s. I was pretty disappointed because I got the boys matching Halloween shirts to take pictures in and they were just too hot to wear the whole time.

It's now the middle of November and it's still not that cold out. I'm ready for the cold weather and rain and fog. Hopefully that will be soon.

Here's Marissa as Buzz Lightyear. She just had to have this costume. Her mom & dad took her to the Halloween store one Saturday and told her to pick out any costume she wanted. They walked around and showed her all of the costumes and she kept saying that she wanted to be Buzz. So here's the cutest Buzz Lightyear you've ever seen. The kids had a great time on Halloween. I'll post more later!

Halloween Preview......

I haven't blogged in a while. The kids have been sick and I got sick and Halloween came so fast! Now it's November and Garrett already wants to put up the Christmas tree! I told him that we needed to pack the Halloween stuff away first.

I still have lots of pics to share from the fair and the pumpkin patch but I got a phone call from my sister tonight asking when I was gonna post the Halloween Pics. She hasn't seen them yet. Gina, these are for you! We took these pics the Saturday before Halloween because we knew that by the time we got home from work and preschool on Tuesday, it would be dark. So we did a dress rehearsal on Saturday. Don't the kids look great? Garrett just had to be Lightening McQueen from the movie Cars and Jake didn't have a choice but to be a zebra (because we had the costume from when Garrett was a baby). I'll post more pics soon!
