Saturday Getaway...

We went to the lake a few weeks ago with some friends. We spent the day swimming and eating and waiting for night time (to see fireworks). This was the only picture I took because it's HARD work taking a day trip with 2 little guys (especially Jake)! So I didn't have my camera on me the whole time. Aaron and I were exhausted when the day was done. The kids had a blast and the firworks were cool. I know it will be easier when Jake is a little older and we don't have to pack all of his baby stuff. It was nice to get away from the extreme heat.

I love my big brother...

Here's a recent pic of Jakey wearing the bib that Grandma Carol bought for him. Jake will be 11 months on August 13th. Almost a whole year has flown by! I can't believe it.

Sticky Situation....

This picture was taken on June 27th. I took Garrett shopping one night and he picked out some Sponge Bob Stickers. On the way home he opened the stickers and started "playing" with them. This is what he looked like when I took him out of his car seat. Of course I had to take a picture of him. He thought it was so funny to have stickers all over his face.

Visiting Great Grandma....

We took the boys to see Great Grandma last week. They wore matching outfits. I figure that I better dress them the way I want to while they are young. We've all heard the horror stories about buying clothes for your kids when they get older.

The boys had a nice time with Great Grandma. She was amazed at the things that Jake was able to do and she got a kick out of Garrett's rambling conversations. Great Grandma loves to do jigsaw puzzles so Garrett brought one of his puzzles. He also loves puzzles. We hope to see Great Grandma again soon.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! We had a fun day. This was Jake's first 4th of July and he had fun too. He did pretty well during the fireworks. He didn't like the "popping" noises but he didn't really cry about it. Garrett had a great time of course because he spent the afternoon and evening with some of the people he loves the most. He held his first sparkler and he didn't freak out over the noises. We all enjoyed spending time together and eating. Boy, did we eat! Happy Birthday USA and I hope our friends and family had a great day too!
